A very decorative high-quality marked V&B figural grouping of a father, mother, baby girl, and the family dog, each figure finely modeled with exquisite detail, their costumes & faces delicately painted in polychrome, and marked on the underside with the distinctive V&B raised pad-mark, 19th century, 10.5" tall, excellent vintage condition, practically mint due to the fact that it was kept inside an antique glass case since first bought by a wealthy couple in Spokane, WA, back in the late 1800's. Similar V&B figure, with the same exact papillon puppy dog, can be seen on page 239 of
GODDEN'S GUIDE TO EUROPEAN PORCELAIN (copy of picture included in sale).
